Onboarding Release Notice 1.2

Overview:

The following universal changes/fixes to the Genius Onboarding System Software have or are to be deployed as per our development roadmap / schedule.

Various Updates

Global 

  • Bug fixes.
  • More consistent wording.
  • Added confirmation popups for some actions.
  • Modal popups will provide the name of the item where it isn’t clear from the rest of the modal’s contexts.
  • Some modals look better (now have consistent header and padding)
  • Ids are sometimes shown (helpful to us if client reports an issue)
  • Removed old/junk code
  • Updated code
  • API speed improvements
  • A “Reload/Refresh” icon has been added into most of the People/Information/System areas, allowing for the list to be reloaded rather than having to fresh the whole page.

 

Calendar 

  • Added ability to filter based on Appointment Type in new Dropdown.
  • Bug fixes.
  • Items now show start time on calendar card.
  • Appointments now have a Person icon which links to the Starter

 

System > Emails

  • Email Id is now shown
  • Mail Merge dropdown when editing. Includes Internal-Use-Only values.

Information > Task Pack

  • LM can now add an Appointment Task
  • Removed “Line Manager Visible” as it did nothing!
  • Bug fixes (e.g. name & description now shown when the Task type is a child item, e.g. Start Date, or Contract)
  • Bug fixes (e.g. Linked answers now populate when editing)
  • Bug fixes (e.g. “Select Previous Document” shows currently assigned Document)
  • Bug fixes (e.g. “Select Previous Document” now in alphabetical order)
  • Bug fixes (e.g. Disable “Next” on “Dates” when not selected “Start Date” or “Appointment”)
  • Can add validation on Text and Long Text (min/max characters and Pattern)
  • Can add validation on Text (min/max value and Step)
  • Dropdown/Select options can be reordered
  • “Available Default Mail Merges” shown on Output.
  • “Available Internal Use Only Mail Merges” shown on Output.
  • “Available Custom Mail Merges” shown on Output for Custom Forms.
  • Buttons to copy mail merge to the clipboard for ease of use.
  • “Matching Fields” renamed to “Mail Merge Fields” and list is now in alphabetical order

People 

  • Added “Notes” tab – Cannot edit/delete own notes
  • All mandatory Fields starred
  • Start Date now none mandatory
  • Date fields no longer default to 1-Jan-1970 if left empty
  • Internal Use Only now can be dates or numbers (rather than just dropdowns or text)
  • Internal Use Only now can have validation applied (min/max/step/pattern)
  • Starter Audit modal looks better
  • ESR Edit/Audit – all sections look better
  • Locations dropdown now in alphabetical order
  • Pre-Employment Checks dropdown now in alphabetical order
  • Ability to toggle Mail Merge values
  • CSV Template Download Option
  • CSV Upload Option – Note: This does NOT mark as complete, as doing so trips all the mail merge documents, send emails, set up reminders, etc – and so would not work if you were trying to upload lots of starters at once, it’ll be SLOW. Short of a fundamental reworking of how Tasks are handled and managed we CANNOT complete the uploaded Starters. Full Stop.
